Juggling cars

I knew the day would come when my station wagon would no longer be my transportation. In fact, I was not planning on renewing the registration that expired at the end of Feb 07. Unfortunately, it died on my way to work on one Friday morning. After 10 minutes of trying to restart my stalled vehicle, I was able to finally get it started and get it to work (barely). All day that day I wondered if I would get it home that night.

Finally, the time came to drive home - or try anyway... It stalled twice on my way out of the parking lot, but each time it restarted right away. Once I got it onto the road, it stalled again. Unfortunately this time, I could not restart it for some time. I figured I wouldn't chance it, so when it finally started, I took it back to work, where it remained for 6 days.

Now that I was without a car, the time had come to get another. I had been looking at the Dodge Stratus, but I never found a particular one, and besides, I had old reliable anyway. But it wasn't so reliable any more... The next day, I took a cab to a nearby dealership, where I found my new car. I took it home right then and there.

It's a nice car, and very enjoyable to drive. I can only hope it will serve me for as long as my last one, if not longer. My station wagon was my first car, and I had it for just about six years. I decided to donate it to charity. They were more than happy to take it, and I was more than happy not to have to deal with it any more.

Overall, I am happy to be where I am now. I have a nice car that should be reliable for a long time. My last car was very good to me, but I am ready to move on. Have a look at some pictures of my new wheels if you haven't already, and leave comments here.
